Public Schools

Canton Area School District

The Canton Area School District currently serves 1,055 students in the townships of Canton and LeRoy, in Bradford County; the townships of McIntyre and McNett, in Lycoming County; the township of Union in Tioga County and the borough of Canton.

The district offers a beautiful centralized campus with one newly renovated elementary school and one newly renovated junior/senior high school. Students continue to display strong performances in many different programs and various extracurricular activities.

East Lycoming School District

The East Lycoming School District is located in rural Lycoming County in central Pennsylvania and is home for about 10,500 residents. The district currently serves approximately 1800 students, K-12. With small, friendly neighborhoods and strong family values, the East Lycoming School District offers an ideal environment to educate children.

The district includes three elementary schools and Hughesville Jr/Sr High School.

Jersey Shore Area School District

The Jersey Shore Area School District is located in Clinton and Lycoming Counties in NorthCentral Pennsylvania, midway between Williamsport and Lock Haven. The 2000 population served by the school district was approximately 19,000.

There are seven buildings in the Jersey Shore Area School District: one administration building, one grades 9-12 high school, one grades 6-8 middle school, and four K-5 elementary schools.

Loyalsock Township School District

Loyalsock Township School District comprises an area covering slightly over twenty-one (21) square miles in Lycoming County. The district is currently made up of one elementary building (grades K-5), one middle school (grades 6-8) and one high school (grades 9 – 12). 

There are approximately 1490 students enrolled in the district with 96 classroom teachers. In addition to classroom teachers, service to students is provided by district administrators, two district librarians, learning specialists, reading specialists, counselors, psychologists, nurses, and speech and hearing specialists.

Montoursville Area School District

The Montoursville Area School District is located in the southeastern section of Lycoming County. Montoursville’s first high school was built in 1868 at Jordan and Montour Streets and the first graduating class was the Class of 1894. The high school was then moved to the North Arch Street location in 1931. The Montoursville Area School District was consolidated in 1966. Presently, our district has one high school, one middle school and two elementary.

Muncy School District

Muncy School District includes the townships of Muncy and Muncy Creek as well as the Borough of Muncy. The district is approximately thirty-six square miles with a student population of 1003 students in grades kindergarten through twelve, housed in Ward L. Myers Elementary School and Muncy Junior-Senior High School.
